The team from Jim Weinberg Lifestyles is planning to paint the architectural features of the Historic College Steet Bridge, located over the Barren River in the early months of 2025. The recent bridge renovations included cap repairs, base encasement on the piers, scour mitigation, upper bracing, decking repairs, sandblasting and spot painting critical connections. Now that this renovation has been completed, a series of paint colors will be placed on the metal architectural features of the bridge. These Sherwin Williams Paint colors will include Honeycomb Tan, Leather Bound Brown, Relentless Olive, Salty Dog Blue, Sommelier Bergundy and other distinctive jewel tone colors. The paint and materials are being donated by the Sherwin Williams Paint Company. Jim Weinberg, founder and creator of US Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A Highway program has been a leading force in the Keep America Beautiful campaign started by Lady Bird Johnson.
